Summer is nothing less than a nightmare for beauty-conscious Australians. The thought of the risk of tanning, rashness, itchiness is enough to blur their dream of having a god-like radiance and glowing skin.

We all are aware of the health warning about sun damage. Still, we have to subject our skin to summer sunshine. We understand what it feels when your fantasy of getting a golden tan turns you into a lobster. Ever wonder how it happens?  Can natural sunscreen Australia treat the sunburn? Read on to know!

Symptoms:

The sun gives off ultraviolet rays and overexposure to the rays can result in sunburn. Our skin turns red. Even lightly touching our skin might feel extremely painful.  If the burn is severe, swelling or puffiness of skin tissues is common. In more serious cases, the symptoms include:

·         Fever

·         Nausea and vomiting

·         Fainting

·         Low blood pressure

·         Extreme weakness

Precautions and Treatment:

·         Either take a bath with cold water to soothe the burn or gently rub on a cream to take the sting out of your sunburn. Both ways work. Make sure your cream or gel contains aloe-vera, camphor, or menthol.

·         Drink at least eight glass of water to stay hydrated.

·         Avoid stepping outside your house.

·         Your skin may start to peel as your body tries to get rid of damaged cells. Make sure you do not pick and continue to apply cream or gel.

·         Get used to put on UV-blocking sunglasses and wear long-sleeved shirts and pants.

·         Most importantly, use natural sunscreen. One of the most effective ways to protect your skin against UV radiations is to use sunscreen. The more the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of a sunscreen, the more the effectiveness.

Facts about Natural Sunscreen:

·         Even a sunscreen with an SPF of 50 blocks 98 percent of the UV rays, it needs to be reapplied every two hours.

·         Sunscreen should be applied on the exposed skin at least fifteen to twenty minutes before stepping outside the house.
